Member Engagement Survey Case Study for a kindergarten / parent satisfaction survey

22 September 2026

Background

As part of Vibrant’s DNA, we have a commitment to giving back to community. Few communities are more important than those setting up our children for lifelong success across friendships, play and learning than kindergarten.

In August 2026, we were approached by a local parent-run kindergarten, one of the largest in the local council area to help with reporting.

Approach

They had designed their own survey, distributed it, and received respondent level data back.

What they didn’t have was a way to turn this into something useful and actionable.

Having conducted hundreds of similar engagements, working with member engagements, and utilising our bespoke PRISM AI system, we were well-positioned to help.

Result

We turned the report around quickly, at a genuinely low cost for the depth of consulting involved.

The first headlinef inding: a third of invited parents responded. The committee’s first reaction was that this looked weak. We could tell them with confidence that this was actually a strong response rate for this kind of survey, and a good sign for what the results themselves would show.

The results were good. Parents came through as engaged and satisfied, with plenty of specific feedback in the open text. Thematic analysis of those open-ended responses, run at a respondent level thanks to PRISM, surfaced the common themes and sized each one. A handful of smaller opportunities stood out too, giving the committee a short, practical list of ways to lift things further.

Turning a spreadsheet of individual answers into a clear read on satisfaction, plus a short list of fixes, is exactly the kind of work we like doing. We also suggested the committee share the results with educators: a result this good is worth telling people about.

The findings have since gone to both the Committee and the Educators, and the kinder is heading into 2027 program planning with a clear picture of where it stands, and opportunities.
